New project commence, Project Calderfoot

Hey been a while again, but now I'm gunna implement my new progress on this site now as I've've decided to give Virtual Railway Building alone for abit now and start designing and building a 00 model railway, progress shots will be uploaded here as well at my Flickr page aswell, so hopefully this project will go forward more than my Railworks Projects that seem to go tits up or run out of idea's haha.

anyway....

For the past few months I've been researching and designing a Model railway that can be easily stored away in a small room (my bedroom) and be taken the Model railway Exhibitions and My associated Open days now the the basement layouts are getting a wee old and well would go well in a relationship with a sledge hammer :).

So far I've designed a small branchline station with long terms of expansion and prospect although for the moment It will only be just me building the layout.

It will consist on a station with loop and engine/goods shed and Signal box it will be a rural scene but with a lot of activity the layout is fictional but with it currently a one ended layout it will have fictional links with many Pennine towns and villages such as those in the Calder Valley Midland Region (Hebden Bridge, Halifax) and Eastern Region Towns such as Wakefield and Doncaster.

With it being a Loop station it offers such Light engine movements to turn run around so the appearance of a Pacific of similar Engines may appear from time to time there are DMU services but at least one will be powered with alternative traction for training purposes while in service aswell....

OK enough rambling now will update soon on more progress,
meanwhile till then i will share a picture from the 30th of dec 2013 in doncaster

Ooops.... Forgot all about this blog

Welcome back me after over a year away, thats what being a father does to you, make you forget about things like this blog..

Anyway long story short... since we are now on TS2014 my previous route building has gone 12ft under somewhere else, so having to build a whole new route of so many I've lost count because I loose interest in that one, then move on to another, with that getting so much with errors I decided to do a completely fresh install off the program but now I cannot remember where I put all the 3rd party custom assets I enjoyed using so i'm stuck with woodhead and AP Building pack for the moment, but at least it gives the future routes a more Northern feel :) so I'll just leave the one Image today, in hope the computer doesnt crash again today....

Sadness, Happiness and not much progress

Since I've not been updating my blog recently, Me and my Family have had shocking news about a death in the family RIP Grandma Phyllis, The Funeral was Blessed by the Heavens with a beam of light through the rain clouds at the graveyard which is a very rare occurance.

Over the weekend we had a wedding shame my grandma didn't see it on the ground but she kept the rain clouds at bay :) I wish you a long and happy Marriage Auntie Threasa.

Route progress hasn't been much lately been sorting out other things jobwise but may start again on route building soon.
