Calderfoot Valley Update 15/01/2014
Nails... Check
Beams ... Check
MDF ... Check
Hammer... Check
Saw... Check
Headache... CHECK!!!
Anyway a checklist for today....
Now back to the Layout... Construction on the frames is going well despite having a fight with a wall earlier, so building with a headache is going quite well even though HSE won't approve, but two fingers at them.
Half way through the corner board and hopefully make a start on the Goods board before the evening comes to a close, if not can wait till next monday when I don't have the lil'one over....
....oh wait where's she gunna sleep...?
Now for Picture while I think what to do...

Calderfoot Update 12/01/2014
The end to another week is nigh but major design progress is made which most likely be turned out as final, But the great achievement would be to fully build this layout in my bedroom up the most probable length being a possible 20ft long including the fiddle yard, it will be a portable layout, well I suppose it will have to be, especilly with it being built in a small room.
Starting to take shape, though nothing is stuck down at the moment but the plan now is to extend the left and side another 6ft (in the picture) and to add another 6ft to make the fiddle yard (out of view).
The next step now is to acquire the two 6ft panels and mark out the tracklines for which would be final for design of the trackwork, then also look for stripes of wood for the underframe for the wiring and other bits.
Until next time

New project commence, Project Calderfoot
Hey been a while again, but now I'm gunna implement my new progress on this site now as I've've decided to give Virtual Railway Building alone for abit now and start designing and building a 00 model railway, progress shots will be uploaded here as well at my Flickr page aswell, so hopefully this project will go forward more than my Railworks Projects that seem to go tits up or run out of idea's haha.
anyway....
For the past few months I've been researching and designing a Model railway that can be easily stored away in a small room (my bedroom) and be taken the Model railway Exhibitions and My associated Open days now the the basement layouts are getting a wee old and well would go well in a relationship with a sledge hammer :).
So far I've designed a small branchline station with long terms of expansion and prospect although for the moment It will only be just me building the layout.
It will consist on a station with loop and engine/goods shed and Signal box it will be a rural scene but with a lot of activity the layout is fictional but with it currently a one ended layout it will have fictional links with many Pennine towns and villages such as those in the Calder Valley Midland Region (Hebden Bridge, Halifax) and Eastern Region Towns such as Wakefield and Doncaster.
With it being a Loop station it offers such Light engine movements to turn run around so the appearance of a Pacific of similar Engines may appear from time to time there are DMU services but at least one will be powered with alternative traction for training purposes while in service aswell....
OK enough rambling now will update soon on more progress,
meanwhile till then i will share a picture from the 30th of dec 2013 in doncaster
